RWE and AMG to ink deal for annual supply of green ammonia from India

Deal to support RWE's growing portfolio of green hydrogen projects

Contract to cover supply of up to 1 million tonnes of green ammonia per year from 2026 onwards

pune, India - - 23rd January 2023 - RWE Supply & Trading and Adani Green Mobility (AMG), a subsidiary of the Adani Group, have signed a term sheet for the annual supply of green ammonia from India. The contract will cover the supply of up to 1 million tonnes of green ammonia per year from 2026 onwards. The green ammonia will be produced using renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, and will be used by RWE to support its growing portfolio of green hydrogen projects. Hydrogen is seen as a key fuel for the future, as it is clean, sustainable, and can be used to power a variety of applications, including vehicles, power plants, and industrial processes. The deal with AMG is a significant step forward for RWE's green hydrogen strategy. The company is already one of the world's leading suppliers of renewable energy, and it is now investing heavily in hydrogen production. RWE is aiming to produce 2 million tonnes of green hydrogen per year by 2030. The deal with AMG is also a major boost for India's green hydrogen industry. India is one of the world's largest producers of renewable energy, and it has the potential to become a major exporter of green hydrogen. The deal with RWE will help to develop India's green hydrogen industry and create new jobs. The term sheet was signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, by Katja Wünschel, Chief Commercial Officer of RWE Supply & Trading, and Nitin Mehra, Chief Financial Officer of AMG. Katja Wünschel said: "This deal is a major step forward for RWE's green hydrogen strategy. We are delighted to be working with AMG to develop India's green hydrogen industry and create new jobs." Nitin Mehra said: "We are very pleased to be partnering with RWE on this project. The deal will help to develop India's green hydrogen industry and create new jobs."
