Armed Forces Day: A Time to Show Our Support
Armed Forces Day is a time to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces.
This year, Armed Forces Day is on Saturday June 24 and there are a number of events taking place across the UK to celebrate the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces.
One of the most popular events is the Armed Forces Day Flag Raising, which will take place on 19 June 2023. This event will see the Union Jack raised at hundreds of locations across the UK, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the Tower of London.
Another popular event is Reservists Day, which will take place on 21 June 2023. This event will give people the opportunity to meet reservists and learn more about the role they play in the Armed Forces.
There are also a number of other events taking place across the UK on Armed Forces Day, including parades, concerts and family fun days.
The Royal Family will also be marking Armed Forces Day. The King will issue a message to mark the occasion and there will be a special service at St Paul's Cathedral.
